The Diamond Mitts are a warm hug for your hands. We think our Elmer Fingering yarn is the star of this simple colorwork pattern—it works up into a soft, sturdy stranded fabric where the woolen-spun wool really shines in tandem with a hint of a cashmere halo. We bet you'll make a few pair to give to friends too!
Make a pair of mitts to match your Diamond Cowl. This cowl kicked off our love for this stranded pattern and we just can't get enough of the color play and the cashmere. We think you’ll really enjoy the shaping built into this piece too -- it falls into a cozy cashmere-forward “puddle” around your neck.
One kit will make either a pair of mitts or a cowl. We suggest one way to organize your colors, but you'll have enough yarn to mix up your color order within the pattern. And, if you're working with 100g of your main color, you'll have enough yardage to make a cowl and a pair of mitts! All of these colors are available in our weekend's dyed-to-order event so you could order an extra skein if you want to make a set!

Fiber Content:
Elmer Fingering is a woolen spun Merino/ Cashmere blend. Like Elmer Tweed, it's rustic with a beautiful texture and richness. It’s fantastic on its own and perfect for colorwork. It’s light, lofty and holds its shape beautifully. All the hold and snap back of wool with a whisper of cashmere for softness and halo.
Elmer Fingering is 200 yards per 50 gram skein or 400 yards per 100 gram skein 80% Merino/20% Cashmere
Hand wash suggested. Lay flat to dry.
Elmer Tweed Fingering
We just had to have us some tweed— some Elmer Tweed! Elmer Tweed is woolen spun with more than just a pinch of cashmere. It has a rustic essence and a beautiful richness. It’s fantastic on its own and perfect for colorwork. This tweed holds its shape beautifully while remaining lightweight. The little tweedy bits of color keep you wanting to knit “just one more round” in anticipation of what bits will appear next. This incredibly plush yarn will bring you right onto the tweed bandwagon if we do say so ourselves! (Elmer Tweed is 70% wool and 30% cashmere.)
