All About Georgia - Our Newest Yarn Base!

As the saying goes, The Only Thing Constant is Change. That's why we LOVE embracing it and bringing new things to The Lamb & Kid!

2026 has been a year FULL of changes to date - from introducing NEW colors including Dawson, Bramble, What the Duckling, Lapis and Brunette, we also have NEW a yarn base in the collection!

If you've been keeping up with our socials (especially our Instagram LIVE from Alaska!), you'll know that we recently released a new yarn into our L&K collection - Georgia!!!

Georgia dyed in Pop Rocks

Georgia is a Sport/DK weight yarn with 328 yds / 100 g. It is made with 51% Baby Alpaca, 49% Peruvian Pima Cotton. Here's how we describe it:

Soft and sweet as a Georgia peach, this dreamy blown yarn will delight your senses with its airy loft and its drapey goodness. The cotton core offers supreme stitch definition while baby alpaca provides a downy halo and supple flow. This sport-weight yarn knits up to a DK gauge, giving a range of knitting options.

Lindsay did a test run with Georgia, knitting up a Nebula by Andrea Mowry!

Lindsay's also been working on knitting up a Nantucket Sweater by @ozetta in Key Lime & Wishful Thinking on Georgia (held single).

Now that we've released the yarn and done our first DTO event, our team is busy dyeing up your orders! We'll have more Georgia to come this summer, so stay tuned and keep dreaming up your next project!

Lots of Love,

The Lamb & Kid
