How about a little appreciation for our Dimond Laine Downy Fingering base? It's been a minute since we've offered this yarn! When you want to knit with something that features soft upon soft, nothing fits quite like our Downy base — and summertime seems like the just right time for something easy and luscious on your needles, doesn't it? Downy Fingering is a confection of alpaca and cashmere spun around an elastane core. It knits up into a light, airy, and ever-so-soft fabric that works well for accessories and garments alike.
Michelle recently finished a short-sleeved Ranunculus tee in this yarn and we've all been plotting to cast one on now too! If you haven't knit this popular pattern yet, here is an excellent reason to remedy that! Ranunculus in Downy Fingering is ridiculously soft and lightweight and wearable. The pattern page on Ravelry has details about fit and sizing. Once you decide what size you're making, order the number of skeins you'll need from our Downy Fingering offering. Choose Frog Rock for Michelle's version or one of these other fabulous colors for your own version. Yummy!
We used three skeins of Downy Fingering in the color Cambric for our Eiderdown shawl — this square shawl doubles up around your neck for the ultimate squish-able accessory — cast on now and you'll be ready for the cooler weather we all know is coming. This pattern is free on our website or on Ravelry.
