Weekend Update!

Hello, Hello!

I’m so glad you’re here, both new friends & old. We’ve had a fantastic week, chock full of new ideas & creative endeavors, which in my opinion, are the best things to have in a week.

Last week I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Melissa & Liz of Wool & Honey for their wonderful Making Comfort + Joy series. Spending an hour with them, and those of you who tuned in, was such a privilege. It reminded me of all the things I love about color, yarn & most of all, the wonderful fiber community that surrounds us. It’s so good to be back! I can’t thank Melissa & Liz enough for including me among their fantastic line-up for this series. I think the motivation I received from being with everyone has propelled me this week, so, a big thanks to Melissa & Liz AND to all of you!

I don’t know if you have seen it or not, but we released a new pattern on Friday – The Red Jammers Shawl. Inspired by my love for the national parks, and starting with the colors from the iconic Glacier National Park, this shawl is my current favorite. It’s a classic with a kick. This pattern is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the great outdoors, color & coziness. It boasts simple shawl construction in stockinette, with sweet details adding to its charm. We named this one The Red Jammers after the vintage White Motor Company buses used at Glacier National Parks to take visitors up to Going to the Sun Road. The jamming sound came from the unsynchronized transmissions, where double-clutching was required to shift gears prior to a 1989 retrofit. Wow, can you tell I’m my father’s daughter?

Speaking of cozy, tis the season for comfort food, am I right? I found these Skillet Enchiladas while scrolling Instagram & can’t tell you how tasty they are! The skillet style cuts down on dish duty & the green chile sauce melding the ingredients creates everything you crave in a filling Mexican-inspired dinner– in about ½ the time!

Mid-Winter also means citrus season. A few years ago, I discovered Sumo Oranges at my local grocery store. Have you had one of these yet?? Think of a cross between a juicy navel orange & a clementine. Big, juicy & ever so easy to peel, this taste sensation is my grab & go treat and is keeping my Vitamin C levels high!

I’m off to the lean-to to get the dye pots going, so until next time, stay warm, stay cozy & happy knitting!

Warmest wishes,

xoxo

Sarah
