All About Mho Mho - The Ultimate Halo Effect

The Inko Sweater

With the release of the Inko Sweater and the Frederic Sweater in Laine's 52 Weeks of Sweaters Book and our subsequent GORGEOUS store samples knit in Elmer Worsted Cookie x Mho Mho Dawson and Mho Mho Blueberry, we thought we'd shine a light on our beloved Mho Mho

Mho Mho is, you guessed it, a Mohair yarn. It provides the most beautiful halo effect to sweaters when knit with other bases. It differs from our Birdie in that Mho Mho is a true Mohair - slightly less soft than Birdie, but oh so gorgeous as a fluffy, shimmering, halo effect. If you're after true Mohair Fiber in your garment, this is your yarn.

Our Mho Mho is a Lace Weight with 430 yds / 50 g comprised of 76% Super-fine Kid Mohair 24% Silk. We are also THRILLED to introduce our new Mho Mho 2.0 - now with 12% more silk in the fiber blend!

So what do we recommend knitting with Mho Mho? Here are some of our favorite patterns right now:

  1. The Inko Sweater - knit in Elmer Worsted Cookie x Mho Mho Dawson. We LOVE our store sample! Lindsay quickly swept it away for a photoshoot!
  2. The Frederic Sweater - an elegant, open and airy all-Mohair sweater. Our sample is knit in  Mho Mho Blueberry
  3. The Rain or Shine Shawl - we have a shop sample of this Stephen West masterpiece once again making a splash in the store! We knit ours in Pop Rocks, Plaid is My Favorite Color, Dial Tone, Buckwheat and Vintage!
  4. The Art Deko Sweater - our shop sample was made by our friend Margot Chien using Mho Mho Sting for the decor!
  5. The Soldotna Crop - a staple in our samples! We knit this with Mho Mho Loam, Pop Rocks, Plaid is my Favorite Color and Miel!
