Color Honor Roll! Bootcut and Antique

Skeins of yarn in a basket in dark blue and creamy white

We know you all have favorite colors…we do too! In addition to our regular DTOs (dyed-to-order events) that feature several colors, we’re now offering a new way to appreciate and stash treasured colors one-at-time from our hand-dyed catalog -- and you just might find a new color to love. Our "Color Honor Roll" features one-two colors available on specific yarn bases for one day! Yes, that’s right you will have 24 hours to shop the Color Honor Roll!

This week, our color honor roll celebrates denim and neutrals. Easy on the eyes and easy additions to our wardrobes and yarn stashes, these colors are all about relaxed and casual vibes. First up, and available on our website for 24 hours starting Monday, January 8th, we're featuring the colors Bootcut and Antique on six bases.

Bootcut is the color of your favorite dark indigo jeans -- an indigo that's been washed with pine. It's a Pacific Northwest denim shade and we love it. We see indigo balanced with dark green in this saturated hue.

Antique is the quintessential cream — adding a dollop of pure delight to your project. It's the perfect finish to any color palette. Like that favorite creamy white tee that never makes it back to your dresser because it's always being worn.

Bases: Birdie, Big Birdie, Trio, Percy, Sugar, and Tod Worsted

Looking for pattern inspiration and ideas for these colors and bases?

Jackie Rose released her Saturday Shrug pattern one year ago this week! This instant classic sure would be beautiful knit in Bootcut and Antique. You'll need 2 skeins of each color in Tod Worsted and 1 skein of each color in Birdie.

How about a Rowdy Tee designed by Caitlyn Turowski? Knit in Sugar held double -- Bootcut and Antique work together for a high contrast marl, or go all in on one or the other to create an easy-to-wear tee to go with your favorite denim pieces. Check the pattern page on Ravelry for yarn amounts needed.

Bootcut and Antique together remind us of Breton striping -- the classic blue and white stripes that inspired our Breton Shawl pattern. Knit in Big Birdie, you'll need two skeins of a main color, and one for your stripes. It's a fun knit and a super wearable shawl!

If you missed this color honor roll offering, check back on a regular basis -- or better yet, sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Instagram! We'll be offering honor roll colors each week, as well as our regular dyed-to-order events on Sunday evenings.
