Cowl-Abunga! Free Cowl Recipe

This cowl makes an entrance! Taller than it is wide, generously sized, and oh so cozy! We couldn’t love it more! It’s the perfect cowl and tucks into a coat or doubles up around your neck for instant moxie!⁣

Size: approx. 55” circumference x 30” tall.⁣

Yarn: 6 skein Birdie in colors Poprocks, Trippy & Mint Condition (2 skeins each color).⁣
Needles: US 10 (6mm) 32” circular⁣

Notions: Darning needle, marker for beginning of round.⁣

Gauge: 12 sts = 4” in stockinette in the round, blocked.⁣

Note: Use a double strand of Birdie throughout.⁣

With yarn in Color A doubled, cast on 165 sts using the long-tail cast on. Turn and purl one row.⁣

Without turning, join in the round, careful not to twist. Place a marker for the beginning of the round.⁣

Knit every round until cowl measures approx. 10” from cast-on edge.⁣

With color B, knit every round until cowl measures approx. 20”.⁣

Note: To change color, work one round in the new color. When you work back around to your BOR marker, slip the first stitch of the last round (in the new color) purlwise at the start of this second round. This helps to create a jogless change in color.⁣

With color C, knit every round until cowl measures approx. 30”.⁣
Purl one round.⁣

Bind off purlwise, weave in those ends. Cowabunga! You now have a Cowl-Abunga Cowl!! ⁣
