It's Cerulean - Knits Approved for The Devil Wears Prada 2

The Splot Sweater by Caitlin Hunter in Carnaby Street x Bakelite

Hello, Miranda Priestly's Office.

Just kidding- it's The Lamb & Kid.

Finally, the highly anticipated release of The Devil Wears Prada 2 is here! Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt together again?! Be still my beating 2000s heart.

We cannot wait to deep dive into the couture of this film - you know its going to tip the trends (cough cough cerulean). So what can we learn from the previews? What would impress Miranda Priestly in 2026? We've pulled a few ideas:

COLOR:

Sadly, we do not have an official "cerulean" in our color catalog. But we have a few close winners:

  1. Lapis - A true, vivid and cool mid-blue. A grown-up and deeper Cookie Monster.
  2. Cornflower - A clear blue reminiscent of the high summer sky, with the faintest hint of periwinkle.
  3. Carnaby Street - A cheerful, bright, and saturated color for all you teal and turquoise lovers out there.
  4. Duckworth - A deep, rich, complex, and sophisticated teal evocative of peacock feathers and the inky depths of the ocean.
  5. Chalet Chic - A cool, minty green. Bright, light, and fresh. Makes everything it’s paired with POP.
  6. Boardwalk - A dusky jade green shade, deeper and more gray than Emme but similar in hue.

TEXTURE:

Good thing we just wrapped up a textured KAL on Ravelry!

  1. Splot by Caitlin Hunter - An instant winner on our Birdie DK
  2. The Birch Pullover by Andrea Mowry - one of our KAL members made the most beautiful version in Elmer!
  3. The Bell Cardi by ANNARKIV - think rows and rows of foxgloves! An absolute statement piece.
  4. The Anker Tee by Petite Knit- classic, elegant and perfect for warmer weather.
  5. The Port Sweater by Ozetta - specifically in What the Duckling. Since butter yellow is back in 2026.
  6. Sweater No. 12 by My Favourite Things - its evoking summers in Maine.
  7. The Overlay Sweater by Susanna Kaartinen - make it short-sleeve and watch it sing.

ACCESSORIES

Dare we say that outfit needs a belt? No, but we would recommend some buttons and hairclips to go with your sweaters!

  1. The camembert hairclip - because French couture does not stop at fashion.
  2. The champagne hairclip - again, need we say more?
  3. Strawberry buttons - one must be seasonally prepared for summer.
  4. The famous bow buttons - back in stock by popular demand!

The Strawberry Buttons!

Whatever you decide to knit, we hope it would get the faintest side-smile. At least we'd recommend you to Vogue!
