The Super Simple Summer Sweater by Joji Locatelli

Want to learn how to knit but don't know where to start? Let The Lamb & Kid help you!

Say it with us - the internet is your friend for learning to knit! Below, we've pulled together some top tier resources from across the knitting community to easily get you started on what is about to become your new favorite hobby:

1. Learn to Knit Videos by Purl Soho Learn To Knit | A Free Step-by-Step Tutorial

Purl Soho is known for great tutorials and simple patterns, perfect for a beginner knitter. Check out both their Website and YouTube and get lost down the rabbit hole of knitting knowledge!

2. The Knitting Dictionary by Wool and The Gang Knit Dictionary | Wool and the Gang

Based in the UK, the Wool and The Gang (WATG) inspires consumers to make their own clothes! WATG makes it really easy for beginners by selling kits that include everything you need from needles, to yarn, to "I made this" tags to attach to your garments. My first sweater I ever made was the Risin' Sun Cardigan by WATG!

3. The Ultimate Online Knitting Community: Ravelry

Ravelry is a community knitting website, where designers share their patterns, knitters sell their stash of un-used yarn, everyone keeps notes on their projects and just generally share knitting ideas! This is a must-have for a knitter to find new projects and patterns. Visit the Lamb & Kid's Ravelry page here

Once you've started to gain some knitting confidence, here are some of our favorite beginner friendly patterns!
