When we saw Junko Okamoto's new sweater design, Tanaka, we were smitten! This sweater says "après-ski, après-dog walk, après-[insert your winter fun here]". It's such a cute shape, and has just the right amount of graphic detail at the yoke to be both fun to knit and wear.
We used Dimond Laine Big Birdie for our version -- at this gauge, the resulting fabric is impossibly soft and cloud-like. We had some fun dyeing up a few colorways and we hope you love them too!
Each kit has a designated body color (Color C) and background yoke color (Color A). You'll have enough of both of the other colors to decide for yourselves which color is B and which is D. Our sample sweater, Sarah's Kit #1, uses Big Birdie in the color Oats (A), Mint Condition (B), Frog Rock (C, body color), and Galactic (D).
Our advice for surviving all this winter weather? Surround yourself with others who agree that the best après-ski is a new sweater project!
