Small Business Saturday at The Lamb & Kid!

Happy Small Business Saturday! We invite you to stop in and shop for your next project. Our store is brimming over with hand-dyed yarns, books, and notions. Enjoy a 10% discount too! (Discount in-store only; not available online or for phone orders.)

And in celebration of all the small businesses that bring us joy, we’re highlighting two collaborations that have us buzzing!

We love our Oh Wow Amsterdam project bags, and we just got a restock of our favorite, happy patterns in three sizes. And, new to us, a collection of canvas covered notebooks – carry your journal in bright, fun style! Hester and Sylvie hand paint and sew each item in their Amsterdam studio. We love working with them – stay tuned in 2024 to see what they’re designing and sending our way next…and follow Oh Wow on Instagram for sneak peeks and a glimpse into their creative space! Shop bags online or in store!

We’re also delighted to feature Alison Kaplan of the Kata Golda studio in Port Townsend, WA. We are smitten with her creative and whimsical approach to embellishments, project bags, notions, and notebooks, as well as her use of naturally dyed materials. We’re collaborating with Alison on several products, pairing her embroidery and plant-dyed fabrics with our hand-dyed mohair and silk yarn, The Lamb & Kid Mho Mho. The plant dyes play so beautifully with our favorite bright colorways, and we just can’t get enough! Available in-store only, her creations make wonderful gifts for knitters and non-knitters alike – we have small zipper pouches, mini hand-bound notebooks, scissors slips (including scissors!), amulet pouches, and flower pins new in stock now and all beautifully embroidered and sewn by Alison. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind work of art. We also have sewing kits so you can stitch a pocket-sized sheep clad in a Dimond Laine Birdie scarf – such a fun DIY! Follow Alison on Instagram or discover her projects in Taproot Magazine for more of her art and inspiration!

Hope your long weekend is filled with the people and activities you love. If you do get a chance to pop in, tag us on Instagram and let us know what inspired you on this visit. Thanks for being a part of our community!

Love, The Lamb & Kid
