The Norma Sweater!

Update! 4/27/24: We're starting a Norma KAL -- and have taken to calling this the sisterhood of the traveling Norma sweater! It literally looks amazing on every body. It's meant to be worn oversized, with approx. 10" of ease but as ease is a variable for each of us, we've all tried Sarah's on. Evidence to this is on Instagram!

If you'd like to join in on the fun, we just launched the KAL on our Ravelry group! The KAL runs through the end of July and we're encouraging everyone to wear their finished sweater to Flock in Seattle in early August (it's possible that the weather might mean you bring it just for a photo, but you never know!). More kits are on our website, and we're happy to help you put together colors if you call us in the shop.

Happy LYS Day!

***Original post***

We could not wait to get the Norma sweater, from My Favorite Things Knitwear and the Isager Archives Collection, on our needles. Happily it coincided with a shipment of our Dimond Laine Elmer Worsted yarn in some of our favorite neutrals and a new sweater sample was born!

This top-down sweater is designed to be worn with approx. 10" of ease. The pattern calls for yarns held together, but we chose to use worsted-weight yarns held singly in our sample and swatches. Our finished sweater was on our shop floor during our recent Spring Mixer weekend and was tried on by many of us — it looks fabulous on a variety of bodies and with a range of ease. And the color possibilities!

We're offering a couple of kits in our Elmer Worsted base. Order kits here!

It would be equally fabulous knit in Elmer Tweed Worsted or Tod Worsted. Visit our yarn pages to put together your own color combinations from our custom and hand-dyed colors. We can't wait to see what you make!

Don't forget you'll need the Norma Sweater by My Favorite Things Knitwear pattern directly from the designer or on Ravelry.
