Our neutrals are a fantastic addition to break up a colorful palette or knit on their own for a wardrobe piece that you can go back to over and over again.

We’re thrilled to offer this base for the first time – a 90% alpaca, 10% silk blend in a shapeshifting DK-weight to join our Birdie family. And, while Birdie DK is related to our beloved Birdie and Big Birdie bases, it is a base unto itself too – and we’re in love!
The higher alpaca content offers even more squishable softness than you’re used to in the rest of the Birdie family, and it provides a slubby, thick-and-thin quality to both the yarn in the skein and in the finished fabric. Speaking of the fabric, think texture – just a bit of wild wavy-ness to your finished stitches – in an overall cuddly and drape-y finish. Delicious.

The Lamb & Kid Tod:
Tod is a light and lofty DK weight yarn. Its perfect blend of yak and cashmere allows it to keep its shape while staying so soft and cuddly. It's exactly what you want in any knitting project.
Tod was the result of a fastidious process. We worked closely with our mills to create a gorgeously cozy base. With a fiber content of 65% Yak and 35% Cashmere, Tod was designed to shine on its own— but pure magic happens when you mix those bases. Tod is the stuff of dreams. Once you get it on your needles, we think you’ll agree.
