SPRING 2026 - Available on Big Birdie, Birdie DK, Birdie, and Birdie Minis (5 skeins & more to save $2/skein!)
Air Mail - A duck egg blue with a wash of gray.
Biscotti - A bakery-Inspired neutral to warm up your knits.
Bramble - A saturated violet purple. Like the blooms on the African violet you have in your windowsill.
NEW! Brunette - A rich, chocolatey brown – dark, but not as dark as Espresso, warm, but not as red as Bittersweet – it’s a perfect moody brown that can play a neutral with brighter shades.
Carnaby Street - A cheerful color for all you teal lovers out there.
Cornflower - A clear and saturated blue of a high summer sky, with the faintest hint of periwinkle.
Dawson - A neutral perfect for a princess—not too warm, not too cool, it’s just right.
Floret - A soft sage color like faded ornamental sedge grass. Beautiful on its own, or paired with your favorite colors. We especially like it with forest greens or deep pinks!
NEW! Lapis - A true, vivid blue. A grown-up Cookie Monster, a cool mid-blue that also plays beautifully with the rest of the Spring palette.
Lilla - A periwinkle lilac, more saturated than Postcard.
Pout - A warm bright pop of pink!
Sleepover - An inky dark navy. Newly reformulated and better than ever!
So Very Cherry - A saturated true cherry red.
Taffy - A soft but bright pink so sweet, it’ll give you a toothache!
Tart - A mossy green with a bright and juicy undertone. Similar in tone to Avocado but without the brown.
Thistle - A purple and lavender leaning pink. If you like Trippy, you'll love this pinker swirl of a color. Thistle falls neatly between Trippy and Carousel and plays well with Topsy and Midge, too.
NEW! What the Duckling - A yellow for the times we’re living in. Reminiscent of the famous yellow dress worn by Kate Hudson in the 2003 cult classic rom-com, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
FIBER CONTENT
Big Birdie
Aran, 174 yds / 100 g
79% Baby Suri Alpaca, 21% Silk
Big Birdie is our custom-milled alpaca/silk blend exclusive to The Lamb & Kid. This is an aran-weight shapeshifter—it can be knit down for a dense and luscious fabric or opened up for a light and airy one. This yarn makes perfectly fluffy sweaters, vests, and the coziest accessories.
Birdie DK
DK, 246 yds / 100 g
90% Baby Suri Alpaca / 10% Silk
Birdie DK has a higher alpaca content than the rest of the Birdie family so you get even more squishable softness. It has a slubby, thick-and-thin quality to both the yarn in the skein and in the finished fabric. Speaking of the fabric, think texture—just a bit of wild wavy-ness to your finished stitches—in an overall cuddly and drapey finish. This yarn feels heavenly against your skin.
Birdie
Light Fingering, 328 yds / 50 g, 131 yds / 20 g
74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk
Birdie is known for its drape, this gorgeously soft baby suri alpaca yarn is blended with silk for strength. Birdie is the perfect alternative for those desiring a fluffy halo, but are allergic or sensitive to mohair. When held with another yarn, Birdie gives more opaque coverage than Mho Mho. Try it held single for a diaphanous effect, or doubled with itself, or another yarn, for more substance. To note: colors take slightly lighter to Birdie and its sisters, than to other bases.
