A simple hat with fun details created to celebrate our tweed merino and cashmere blend! The knitting is fun with a half ribbing pattern to start, but the magic of this piece is in the blocking – the cashmere bloom, the unbelievably soft and light fabric that results – we dare you to stop at just one hat!

Finished Measurements
Approx. 18” circuference and 9” tall.

Materials:
Dimond Laine Elmer Tweed Worsted (70% merino, 30% cashmere; 135 yards per 50 grams); 1 skein.

Or Worsted-weight in the following amount:
135 yards / 123 m.

Gauge:
20 stitches and 28 rounds = 4” in Stockinette stitch in the round on Gauge needle.

Suggested Needles:
Needles listed are suggested. Always take time to swatch.
Gauge Needle: US 6 (4mm) 16” circular and double point needles.
Ribbing Needle: US 4 (3.5mm) 16” circular needle.

Tools:
Darning needle; 2 markers (1 unique to mark beginning of round).
