Can you think of anything more fanciful than a sweater knit in Big Birdie? We can’t either! The Fancy Sweater is a simple raglan knit top-down and in the round. We fancy a knit that can be dressed up or down, and the Fancy Sweater is just that! It’s lightweight yet cozy, and simple but dare we say, fancy.

Finished Measurements:
Aprox. 36 (39, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62)”/ 90 (97.5, 105, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155)cm bust at widest circumference

Materials:
Dimond Laine Big Birdie (79% Baby Alpaca, 21% Silk; 174 yards/160 meters per 100g); 4 (4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins

Or approx. 606 (664, 713, 776, 835, 906, 1005, 1112)yds / 551 (604, 648, 705, 759, 824, 914, 1011)m of similar heavy Aran weight yarn

If choosing to add a pop of color to the inside of the collar you will need an ADDITIONAL approx 26 (27, 27, 29, 29, 30, 30, 30)yds / 24 (25, 25, 26, 26, 27, 27, 27)m of a Contrast Color.

Gauge:
16 sts and 20 rnds = 4” / 10cm Stockinette st in the round with Gauge Needle, blocked.

Suggested Needles:

Gauge Needle: Size US 9/ 5.5mm 9”/22.5cm OR DPNs, 16”/40cm, 24”/60cm, and 32”/80cm circular needles
Ribbing Needle: Size US 7/ 4.5mm 9”/22.5cm OR DPNs, 32”/80cm circular needles or 2 sizes smaller than Gauge Needle
