For those of you not privy to the inner workings of Bainbridge Island politics, let us give you the back story for our newest color release, Flamingo. The city has instituted a policy stating that no signs or objects are allowed to be posted in any right of way. Some of our high school students, no doubt giddy with the prospect of summer days stretching out before them, have protested this policy (as high schoolers do) by placing Flamingos in a local roundabout. Every morning the flamingos appear and every day the city takes them down. Also taken by the city was our “Hand Knit Yarn” sign that we post outside our door to signify open hours. So how does a yarn shop express itself? We dye yarn! Now, we have the most delightful Flamingo pink to share with you all. Join us in our one-legged campaign because who doesn’t need a little joy and levity in their life these days! We have Birdie, Trio DK, and several minis dyed up in Flamingo.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of the minis will go to the Bainbridge Schools Foundation to support our teachers by bridging the gap between the state funding they receive and what they actually need for their classrooms.
