Turn a Cashmere Cowl into a Work of Art

Decorate your cashmere cowl with creative stitchwork with Alison Kaplan of Kata Golda Handmade. Alison will have samples on hand and will guide participants through color selections, design elements, and modifications to the finished cowl (ie: adding a slit, cutting a section off, etc). During this four hour class, you will turn your cowl into a work of art.

Alison will provide stitch inspiration, sewing needles, and have her favorite sewing books on hand. You will select from four cashmere cowl options (indigo dip, ombre green, hot pink, or soft grey). There will be ample yarn options on hand to work with, but please bring your favorite remnants from your stash if you have a specific color palette in mind.

Alison will also have a handful of stitched creations to demonstrate what you can do with cashmere trimmings should you choose to cut a section off the cowl.

Materials provided: cashmere cowl, Lamb & Kid yarns in various weights and colors, sewing needles, a page of notes and tips and a sheet of stitch inspiration.
