COLORS
Basecamp: A dark and broody evergreen teal with earthy tones; the color of outdoor adventures.
Bitter Orange: A pumpkin leaning gold. The monarch butterfly migration, the pumpkin patch in October, the dried orange slices in your mulled wine. - Birdie, Trio, Birdie DK
Choux: A spectrum of cream puff hues ranging from pale straw to the caramelized amber of crisp pastry.
Frayed Jeans: A dimensional faded blue with streaks that lean purple and others warm, with an overall neutral undertone that pairs beautifully with so many colors just like your favorite jeans.
Midge: A perfect mid-century purple you didn't know you needed. This is the purple for everyone. - Trio, Birdie, Birdie DK
Pomegranate: A juicy and deeply saturated berry red color. This color seriously glows on every single base!
Tiny Dancer: A delicate ballet pink, reminiscent of tutus and pointe shoes.
Waverly: A warm caramel and browned butter hue, with golden undertones.
Willow: A warm sage green blended with khaki brown.
BASES
Birdie
Light Fingering, 328 yds / 50 g
74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk
Birdie is known for its drape, this gorgeously soft baby suri alpaca yarn is blended with silk for strength. Birdie is the perfect alternative for those desiring a fluffy halo, but are allergic or sensitive to mohair. When held with another yarn, Birdie gives more opaque coverage than Mho Mho. Try it held single for a diaphanous effect, or doubled with itself, or another yarn, for more substance. To note: colors take slightly lighter to Birdie and its sisters, than to other bases.
Birdie DK
DK, 246 yds / 100 g
90% Baby Suri Alpaca / 10% Silk
Birdie DK has a higher alpaca content than the rest of the Birdie family so you get even more squishable softness. It has a slubby, thick-and-thin quality to both the yarn in the skein and in the finished fabric. Speaking of the fabric, think texture—just a bit of wild wavy-ness to your finished stitches—in an overall cuddly and drapey finish. This yarn feels heavenly against your skin.
Elmer
Heavy Fingering / Sport, 400 yds / 100 g
80% Merino, 20% Cashmere
Elmer is a woolen spun Merino/Cashmere blend. Like Elmer Tweed, it's rustic with a beautiful texture and richness. It’s fantastic on its own and perfect for colorwork. It’s light, lofty, and holds its shape beautifully. All the hold and snap back of wool with a whisper of cashmere for softness and halo. This workhorse, I-can-do-anything yarn is a shop favorite. Elmer also knits spectacularly well at a sport weight.
Trio
Fingering, 450 yds / 100 g
70% Merino, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon
Trio is our custom-milled trifecta of merino, cashmere, and nylon. Trio is both hard working and delightful. Its merino content provides beautiful texture and memory, the cashmere brings a sumptuous hand, and the hint of nylon takes dye vibrantly and gives added structure in draping and durability. Trio is perfect for wardrobe staples from sweaters to accessories. It’s particularly good for summer garments feeling cool against the skin. Colors sing on this base!
