When My Jose Hood by NORgardknitters first popped up at the top of the Ravelry patterns, we couldn't wait to cast on. Our initial thoughts were Tod Worsted or Big Birdie, because how cozy would those yarns be tucked around your neck?
Our friend Maci beat us to it and took it in a new direction with Elmer Fingering held with Birdie. It's one of our favorite combinations of yarns, and in a garter stitch it's ultra squishy.
We have kits available for Maci's hood, a light gray one, and a Pop Rocks marled version, which you can see knit up in a larger gauge as our Betwixt Shawl.

Elmer Fingering is a woolen spun Merino/ Cashmere blend. Like Elmer Tweed, it's rustic with a beautiful texture and richness. It’s fantastic on its own and perfect for colorwork. It’s light, lofty and holds its shape beautifully. All the hold and snap back of wool with a whisper of cashmere for softness and halo.
