Kits include yarn to make a long sleeve version (closer to how Andrea Mowry's original pattern sweater looks!) and plenty of yarn to play with your contrast colors. Extend the yoke, sleeves or no sleeves... whatever floats your boat! One of the biggest lessons we've learned from Margot is to be fearless in doing your own thing! 

Please note, this pattern calls for a sport-weight wool, so swatching is key.

74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk
Birdie is known for its drape, this gorgeously soft baby suri alpaca yarn is blended with silk for strength. Birdie is the perfect alternative for those desiring a fluffy halo, but are allergic or sensitive to mohair. When held with another yarn, Birdie gives more opaque coverage than Mho Mho. Try it held single for a diaphanous effect, or doubled with itself, or another yarn, for more substance. To note: colors take slightly lighter to Birdie and its sisters, than to other bases.

Trio is our custom-milled trifecta of merino, cashmere, and nylon. Trio is both hard working and delightful. Its merino content provides beautiful texture and memory, the cashmere brings a sumptuous hand, and the hint of nylon takes dye vibrantly and gives added structure in draping and durability. Trio is perfect for wardrobe staples from sweaters to accessories. It’s particularly good for summer garments feeling cool against the skin. Colors sing on this base!
