Friend of the shop & knitfluencer Margotchien dropped two versions of Le Knit’s Rosie Yoke Sweater this week & we’re in love. Many of you will remember our original Rosie Sweater that we knit up out of Postcard & Chesterfield on Tod DK as a sample for Sacred Sheep. It remains a favorite in the shop.
Lene Holme Samsøe of Le Knit released a second version, the Rosie Yoke Sweater, featuring one garland of roses vs. two & a simplified pattern knit in the round. Additionally, the yoke version calls for an aran weight yarn on a size 8 needle, which as some of you know, is our FAVORITE needle size.
Margotchien hit it out of the park with her friendship roses made out of Grandma’s Button on Tod Worsted w/ Birdie on a moody, earthy background of Petrichor on Dream State by Spincycle Yarns with Legend on Oh Dang, The Farmer’s Daughters Fibers alpaca. TECHNICALLY, it’s on a journey to become a store sample, but since I have yet to take it off, the date she will actually land in the shop is to be determined.
