COLORS:
Air Mail: A calm and serene duck-egg blue, with hints of green and whispers of gray.
Conversation Pit: A foresty and magical green. Quintessential 70’s decor. It goes with everything and is cool, warm, bold, and delicate.
Duckworth: A deep, rich, complex, and sophisticated teal evocative of peacock feathers and the inky depths of the ocean.
Loam: Not just brown and certainly not just green, Loam is defined by its depth; oh so broody and magical. It goes with everything, just like in nature; the perfect foil for brights and the best companion for neutrals and classic colors both warm and cool.
Plaid Is My Favorite Color: A vibrant orange that leans red, this side of neon is guaranteed to brighten anything.
Sleepover: An inky indigo navy reminiscent of a classic navy sweatshirt, summer camps and a dark and starry night sky.
Springfield: A dark rose mauve at the intersection of pink, purple, and brown. Equal parts elegant, romantic, and earthy.
Vintage: A creamy light gray that brings brights together. Reminiscent of Old World charm and the color of your grandmother's heirloom wedding gown.
Wish You Were Here: A color reminiscent of Tuscan blue summer skies washed with wispy white clouds. Nuanced and dreamy.
FIBER CONTENT
Big Birdie
Aran, 174 yds / 100 g
79% Baby Suri Alpaca, 21% Silk
Big Birdie is our custom-milled alpaca/silk blend exclusive to The Lamb & Kid. This is an aran-weight shapeshifter—it can be knit down for a dense and luscious fabric or opened up for a light and airy one. This yarn makes perfectly fluffy sweaters, vests, and the coziest accessories.
Birdie
Light Fingering, 328 yds / 50 g
74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk
Birdie is known for its drape, this gorgeously soft baby suri alpaca yarn is blended with silk for strength. Birdie is the perfect alternative for those desiring a fluffy halo, but are allergic or sensitive to mohair. When held with another yarn, Birdie gives more opaque coverage than Mho Mho. Try it held single for a diaphanous effect, or doubled with itself, or another yarn, for more substance. To note: colors take slightly lighter to Birdie and its sisters, than to other bases.
Birdie DK
DK, 246 yds / 100 g
90% Baby Suri Alpaca / 10% Silk
Birdie DK has a higher alpaca content than the rest of the Birdie family so you get even more squishable softness. It has a slubby, thick-and-thin quality to both the yarn in the skein and in the finished fabric. Speaking of the fabric, think texture—just a bit of wild wavy-ness to your finished stitches—in an overall cuddly and drapey finish. This yarn feels heavenly against your skin.
