Grab your favorite yarn pairing – we suggest a little cashmere, alpaca, and silk – and then knit garter stitch into the simplest pattern. This shawl is a holiday for your needles and so easy to wear once it’s done.

Finished Measurements:
Approx. 92” wingspan x 22” deep at spine.

Materials:
Dimond Laine Percy (100% cashmere; 190 yards per 50g); 3 skeins. AND Dimond Laine Birdie (74% alpaca, 26% silk; 328 yards per 50g); 2 skeins. Yarns held together throughout.

Or Sport to light DK-weight yarn held together with light fingering-weight yarn in the following amounts:
510 yds / 465m of each yarn.

Percy in color Conversation Pit and Birdie in color Evergreen.

Gauge:
While gauge is not critical for this project, you will want a finished fabric with some drape, and it may affect the finished size and the amount of yarn used.
Approx. 13 sts and 24 rounds = 4” in garter stitch with yarns held together, blocked.

Suggested Needles:
Needles listed are suggested. Always take time to swatch.
Gauge Needle: US 10 (6mm) 32” circular needle.

Tools:
Darning needle, locking stitch marker to mark RS of fabric.
