Introducing our 20-color 2025 Fall Palette, available this weekend on Birdie, Birdie DK, Elmer, Trio, and in its dyed-to-order debut, Birdie Minis!!

COLORS

Barred - A warm, woodsy creamy gray, like a majestic owl perched in the tree.

Braeburn - A perfect, orangey red. Crisp & delicious, like a tangy Braeburn apple picked off the tree on a chilly Fall afternoon in the orchard.

Button - A slightly pink leaning, creamy neutral. Perfect for pairing.

Caffe - A luscious cinnamon brown with a hint of caramel and chestnut.

Cairn – A warm stony gray. Much like the cairns that guide travelers, Cairn promises to be grounding in any project.

Cambric - A dusty chambray blue, comfortable and easy. A true soft blue—where Frayed Jeans has a lavender undertone, Cambric tends toward powder blue.

Commodore - A bright navy to make you stand up and salute. Lighter than Three Dog Night and clearer in tone than Isle.

Conversation Pit - A dark, foresty, magical green. It goes with everything and is cool, warm, bold, and complex.

Dark Wash - An inky dark with blue, black and sometimes even green undertones. The best Fall denim in your closet.

Espresso - A rich, deep brown with black undertones. An espresso shot pulled straight from the machine & served in a tiny cup.

Fort Ward - A classic mid green named for one of our favorite areas on the southern end of Bainbridge Island. Fort Ward boasts acres of grassy knolls that spill down to the water.

Key Lime - A citrus pop that guarantees to get the party started on any project.

Marooned - A juicy, broody plum—a glass of burgundy fireside, your favorite beet salad, the Maraschino cherry on top.

Midge - A perfect mid-century purple you didn't know you needed. This is the purple for everyone.

Penny - A light copper color with a cool undertone of rose, leaning either warm or cool depending on what colors it's paired with.

Port - A dark wine and burgundy swirl.

Pout - The pout of your dreams. A peachy-pink blush. Perfect to lift up other colors and give projects a playful pop.

Springfield - A dark rose mauve at the intersection of pink, purple, and brown. Equal parts elegant, romantic, and earthy.

Sungold – Like the baby tomatoes that grow all over the island & are as sweet as candy. A bright, sunny gold inspired by the veggie garden.

Terra Mauve - A cool medium red, similar in saturation to Robin but with a rusty rose cast we all love!

FIBER CONTENT

Birdie
Light Fingering, 328 yds / 50 g
74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk
Birdie is known for its drape, this gorgeously soft baby suri alpaca yarn is blended with silk for strength. Birdie is the perfect alternative for those desiring a fluffy halo, but are allergic or sensitive to mohair. When held with another yarn, Birdie gives more opaque coverage than Mho Mho. Try it held single for a diaphanous effect, or doubled with itself, or another yarn, for more substance. To note: colors take slightly lighter to Birdie and its sisters, than to other bases.

Birdie Mini
Light Fingering, 131 yds / 20 g
74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk
The same Birdie base you know and love, now in mini skeins! Celebrate colowork, stripes, finishing details, and scrappy projects alike with your Birdie Minis.

Birdie DK
DK, 246 yds / 100 g
90% Baby Suri Alpaca / 10% Silk
Birdie DK has a higher alpaca content than the rest of the Birdie family so you get even more squishable softness. It has a slubby, thick-and-thin quality to both the yarn in the skein and in the finished fabric. Speaking of the fabric, think texture—just a bit of wild wavy-ness to your finished stitches—in an overall cuddly and drapey finish. This yarn feels heavenly against your skin.

Elmer
Heavy Fingering / Sport, 400 yds / 100 g
80% Merino, 20% Cashmere
Elmer is a woolen spun Merino/Cashmere blend. Like Elmer Tweed, it's rustic with a beautiful texture and richness. It’s fantastic on its own and perfect for colorwork. It’s light, lofty, and holds its shape beautifully. All the hold and snap back of wool with a whisper of cashmere for softness and halo. This workhorse, I-can-do-anything yarn is a shop favorite. Elmer also knits spectacularly well at a sport weight.

Trio
Fingering, 450 yds / 100 g
70% Merino, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon
Trio is our custom-milled trifecta of merino, cashmere, and nylon. Trio is both hard working and delightful. Its merino content provides beautiful texture and memory, the cashmere brings a sumptuous hand, and the hint of nylon takes dye vibrantly and gives added structure in draping and durability. Trio is perfect for wardrobe staples from sweaters to accessories. It’s particularly good for summer garments feeling cool against the skin. Colors sing on this base!
