This weekend’s DTO includes Birdie, Trio DK, and Elmer. We’re dyeing colors to match La Bien Aimee’s yarns, Alix, Helix, and Felix, from La Mercerie for the collaboration of the Pinking Shears by Churchmouse, but if that pattern isn’t your jam, these gorgeous, springy colors could be worked up into whatever your heart desires!

Yarn purchased in this Dyed-to-Order event will ship approximately the week of 5/12/25.

COLORS

Dial Tone - Dial Tone is a verdant gold that sits between Slug and Sting. It brings to mind honeyed spring foliage.

Floret - A soft sage color like faded ornamental sedge grass. Beautiful on its own, or paired with your favorite colors. We especially like it with forest greens or deep pinks!

Foxtrot - A rich burnished sienna; cinnamon bark steeped in sunlight. Fiery copper with deeper brown and hints of smoldering embers.

Francie - Francie is a bright and acidic yellow spring green -- a playful color to make you smile. Like the first buds and shoots of spring. Francie pairs well with Midge.

Ginger Peachy - A peaches and cream blend for a soft, floral, and fruity shade. Our take on Pantone's 2024 Color of the Year.

Lilla - A soft periwinkle lilac that'll get you ready for spring.

Petal - A delicate pink shade. Creamier than Tiny Dancer.

Pout - A radiant and clear warm pink with the delicate sweetness of peach without being overwhelmingly orange.

Siren - Think sunset embers, spiced paprika, and heated cayenne. This beautifully rich and deep reddish orange evokes burnt sienna with a fiery heart.

FIBER CONTENT

Birdie

Light Fingering, 328 yds / 50 g

74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk

Birdie is known for its drape, this gorgeously soft baby suri alpaca yarn is blended with silk for strength. Birdie is the perfect alternative for those desiring a fluffy halo, but are allergic or sensitive to mohair. When held with another yarn, Birdie gives more opaque coverage than Mho Mho. Try it held single for a diaphanous effect, or doubled with itself, or another yarn, for more substance. To note: colors take slightly lighter to Birdie and its sisters, than to other bases.

Elmer Fingering

Fingering, 200 yds / 50 g, 400 yds / 100 g

80% Merino, 20% Cashmere

Elmer Fingering is a woolen spun Merino/Cashmere blend. Like Elmer Tweed, it's rustic with a beautiful texture and richness. It’s fantastic on its own and perfect for colorwork. It’s light, lofty, and holds its shape beautifully. All the hold and snap back of wool with a whisper of cashmere for softness and halo. This workhorse, I-can-do-anything yarn is a shop favorite. Elmer Fingering also knits spectacularly well at a sport weight.

Trio DK

DK, 275 yds / 100 g

70% Merino, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon

Trio DK is everything you love about our fingering-weight Trio, in a DK-weight custom-milled trifecta of 70% merino, 20% cashmere, and 10% nylon. It's a smoothly worsted spun, hard-working yarn that takes the dye beautifully, giving every color an extra glow-up! Trio DK's merino content provides beautiful texture and memory, the cashmere brings a sumptuous hand, and the hint of nylon adds structure in draping and durability. We adore this new yarn for sweaters and accessories alike!
