Weekend Update!

Hello, Hello!I’m so glad you’re here, both new friends & old. We’ve had a fantastic week, chock full of new ideas & creative endeavors, which in my opinion, are the best things to have in a week. Last week I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Melissa & Liz of Wool & Honey for their wonderful Making Comfort + Joy series. Spending an hour with them, and those of you who tuned in, was such a privilege. It reminded me of all the things I love about color, yarn & most of all, the wonderful fiber community that surrounds us. It’s so good to be back! I can’t thank Melissa & Liz enough for including me among their fantastic...

Weekend Update!

Happy Weekending, friends!   I hope this finds you relaxing and enjoying some downtime. What a week! The sunshine has finally moved in, and the pups and I couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s high time for some winter hiking and trying to soak up some of those rays while they’re here.    We just received a sample knit of Amy Christoffers’ Pressed Flowers, and boy, oh boy, is it a stunner. We had a shop sample knit up in Moonwink on Tod and Vintage on Birdie, and while I can’t get enough of this beauty’s stark contrast, I’ve already cast on a slightly wilder version in Buoy and Pop Rocks. What do you think? We’ve had this shawl in our...

Hey kids, it's the weekend! We’re looking forward to a sunny January weekend (very rare) around here & I’m planning to get out of the house & into the sunshine.Frankly, I’m probably going to need a few days of fresh air a day before I stop seeing Trippy every time I close my eyes! We dyed ALL THE TRIPPY this week. THANK YOU!! I’m glad you all seem to love Trippy as much as I do. While I’ve always gravitated toward classy with a bit of a twist (let’s be honest, also a side of kitsch), I’m happy to know I’m not the only one gravitating toward a little extra fun & whimsy these days.Speaking of fun, we have company...

Weekend Update

Well, hello there. I’d like to warmly welcome you to Weekend Update! A little slice of the internet that’s devoted to sharing what I’ve been loving lately, from patterns to people, to recipes, to products, sometimes yarn-y, occasionally completely unrelated. We’ve had a whirlwind week at The Lamb & Kid, recovering from our first big winter storm. For those of you who are not local to the Pacific Northwest, snow is quite the event here! I’ve been a Pacific Northwestern-er for two years now, and coming from the lake-effect snow belt of Michigan, I have to say— there is a stark contrast as to what constitutes a “snow event” here vs. Michigan. The contrast has both made me laugh and...
