New Colors For Fall!

We find inspiration all around us, especially in the changing seasons. These new colors, inspired by autumn and all it brings, are perfect for transitioning your palette of summery brights into the fall season for an autumnal palette with abundant richness and a touch of drama. Waverly: A warm caramel and browned butter hue with golden undertones. Good enough to eat! Fedora: A red-tinged nut brown hue, like burnished bracken in the autumn. We are head over heels for Fedora! Chesterfield: Burgundy-brown like an oiled leather chair. Perfect with neutrals of all shades as well as pinks (even Poprocks!) and oh, the scummy color pairings just begging to be made. Chesterfield is the rich neutral we’ve been dreaming of!

Highlighting our Yarn Bases: Dimond Laine Birdie

What can’t we say about Dimond Laine Birdie? This base is in constant rotation on our needles with fun and personality to the max! It’s a fingering weight yarn that is all things to all projects: it’s a strand-along, a fingering-weight, a DK-weight. We offer this yarn in 50-gram, 328-yard skeins in our full hand-dyed color catalog through our dyed-to-order events and in our Bainbridge Island store. It’s...

It’s a creamier, warmer counterpart to our beloved Vintage. Both colors are lovely neutrals, perfect for any and every season. Antique and Vintage will be available on Birdie and Downy Fingering at this weekend’s Dyed-to-Order event.

This weekend's DTO will feature a few resulting colors (and on a new base!). Please meet.... Antique: The quintessential cream — adding a dollop of pure delight to your project. Antique is a creamier counterpart to our beloved Vintage, and sure to be a new staple in our hand-dyed catalog. Coastal Grey: The inky smudge where water meets the sky in a darkening blue twilight. Sweetbriar: An heirloom tea rose in full bloom; a sweet, clear pink.
